Description
The fruit should have the flavour, colour and texture of sound, ripe, dried unsulphured apricots. They should be free from taint, odour, or other objectionable smell.

Production Process
Apricots are harvested by shaking onto cotton sheets, dried, and pitted. They are cleaned, washed, chopped, rolled in organic rice flour, packed, and metal detected in Turkey.

Packaging
The fruit should be packed in new cartons with an inner paper liner. Box markings must include: a) a lot no. indicating place of packing and relating to each parcel of fruit; b) the nett weight, normally 10 kg; c) organic certification details. Ecocert do the inspection and auditing in Turkey. Our apricots are sold under certification UK5, Soil Association symbol number 1422.

Quality
The result of washing should leave the fruit with no microbiological contamination which is harmful to human beings. The fruit undergoes magnetic detection during processing. The Apricots will comply with the requirements of the Food Safety Act 1990 and other pertinent legislation.
