Organic / GMO Debate - organic and genetically engineered food issues

We believe organic food production works in harmony with and respects living systems. It is also, from a total inputs/total outputs point of view the most efficient. As such, organic food producers are able to grow more than enough food of the highest quality to feed everyone - without the use of herbicides and pesticides. </P> <P ALIGN="JUSTIFY">Genetic engineering on the other hand treats life like a machine. As life is more than a machine, it is impossible to foresee all the consequences of forcing unstable virus, bacteria and other genetic material into plants.</P> <P ALIGN="JUSTIFY">For every box of Organic Rich Muesli we sell, .3p goes to the Soil Association and we contribute 1p to Genetix Food Alert. We take an active part in debate, gather as much information as possible and help lobby Government.
