These intensively flavoured banana slices are made from a special variety of Ugandan Apple Banana. Relying on natural sweetness they don't contain added sugar, oil or any preservatives and are extremely tasty having been sun dried almost immediately after harvesting.

Sun dried bananas are produced by women's groups, co-operatives, and family groups in over 50 villages. 'Fruits of the Nile' introduced solar driers to Uganda in the early 90's. These, together with training, fair prices and loan support where needed, has improved the lives of many people.
